Cass Lake and Bemidji (Part 1)

This morning we loaded up the car and headed north. Your dad had a business trip and we are lucky to be able to go along. So up we headed to Cass Lake Reservation and then on to Bemidji. Your dad has meetings in Red Lake today as well, but we are hanging out in the hotel room so that you can nap and we can relax.

And guess what! They have a hotel pool. We will be heading across the main road to Walmart after you nap to find some swimming diapers.

It’s beautiful up here. The drive was gorgeous, even though it’s too early in the spring for the leaves to be on the trees. We found a small Paul Bunyon statue on the way and have plans to visit Bemidji’s larger Paul this evening. Paul Bunyon is a big deal around here. Even the hallway carpet is like a huge flannel shirt in the hotel.
