One year ago, at this moment we were at the hospital. Your grandparents were driving up north to see you (they wouldn’t get in until 3 in the morning). My contractions were getting stronger and stronger. We had no idea if you were a boy or girl. We had no idea what time you would arrive.
It’s been a whole year. It seems like so much longer in a lot of ways. Good ways. So much has been packed into this little year.
We have a few plans for your birthday but nothing crazy. Some blueberry pancakes (as well as all the blueberries you can eat), the farmer’s market, pasta for dinner (your current favorite), and a trip to the Wild Rumpus bookstore.
Words cannot express how grateful I am to God for you. You truly are my sunshine!
