You are one month old. I don’t know whether to say this month has “flown by” and that I can’t believe you are one month old. Or whether to say that it seems like you have been here and a part of our family forever. It is an odd combination of both. I think I’ve already forgotten, in a way, life with out you. You just came and were such a natural fit into our little family.
We have not been apart much, during this month. You sleep close to me, and want to be held most of the day that you are awake. . .or when you are asleep. You are a champion sleeper still. Most nights only waking twice to eat and then going right back to sleep. I’m thankful for that.
I feel like we are getting to see tiny glimpses of your personality. I love it when you smile. You are so laid-back and rarely cry hard. You just let out a few fusses when things are not going the way you like them. You are curious and love looking around.
We aren’t really on a schedule of any sort yet. Other than we usually go to bed around 10 or 11 and you sleep the first chunk until 2 or 3. During the day, you might sleep all morning…or like today you might take a few cat naps. Your fussier time (or the time that you need to be held) is in the evenings.
Right now, you are asleep in the little chair in our room. You are such a peaceful sleeper.
We love you so much and are so blessed to have you in our family. Thanks for a GREAT first month!!
