We have only had our chicks for a week, but it is amazing how they have changed. They have moved into the awkward, gangly stage.

Their necks are long and always stretching to check things out, and their fluff is disappearing.

Edna appears to be the boss. She struts around looking annoyed while Hazel tries to keep up and/or hide underneath her.

Today, I went in to find Hazel sitting on top of the water container…and I thought it was time to switch to a larger “cage.” So they are now residing in a clear rubbermaid, with chicken-wire across the top to keep them from flapping out and hurting themselves.

They were a bit weirded out by the clear container (they were in a cardboard box before).
